Professional Training

The development of human resources through training promotes job quality, efficiency, and effectiveness and at the same time motivates employees to make a formal commitment to growing with the institution and being more productive.

What is professional training?

Professional development refers to all training, certification and education that a worker needs to succeed in his or her career. It’s no secret that different jobs require different skills. Even if a worker currently has the necessary skills, he or she may need additional skills in the future. Through professional development, workers can learn these skills to become better, more efficient workers.

Why is professional training important?

Employers can benefit from professional development in several ways. First, it promotes higher employee retention rates. But employers who offer professional development will encourage employees to stay with their business.

Professional development also signals competency on behalf of the employer. Some industries actually require workers to hold certifications. And if a worker doesn’t have the necessary certification, it looks bad for the employer — not to mention the legal challenges it poses. Professional development, however, can help workers obtain the necessary certification and learning for their industry.

Of course, professional development is also beneficial for employees. Employees that engage in professional development will feel more confident knowing that they have the skills needed to succeed in their line of work. If an employee lacks a particular skill, he or she may question their work.

Employees will also become better workers through professional development. By learning the right skills for their career, employees will be more productive and efficient, thus helping the business for which they work succeed.

Finally, professional development can open the doors to new opportunities for employees. If an employee is struggling to get promoted to a higher, more lucrative position, professional development may help him or her secure this promotion.

Production Optimization

Production Optimization

Organizations are faced every day with the challenge to produce more spending less. To grow, managers look for a way to improve its processes in a way that results in cost reduction and awareness about what each process represents in the business.

What is production optimization?

The main goal of process optimization is to reduce or eliminate time and resource wastage, unnecessary costs, bottlenecks, and mistakes while achieving the process objective. We only spend time correcting an error if the mistake exists. It is not enough to know that but to know how to accomplish that. A suboptimal process will never deliver the most efficient result possible. What process optimization can bring to you company is a way to reduce money, time and resources spent in a process, leading to better business results.

How is production optimization used?

First, we need to identify what is the process optimization need that exists in your company. Think about a process in your company that is costing you more than it should, or inducing client’s dissatisfaction.

After knowing the process in this level of detail and identifying the changes opportunities and the improvement needs, it is time to apply the process in a new manner.

Engineering Design

Engineering Design

Engineering design is the method that engineers use to identify and solve problems.

What is engineering design?

The engineering design process is a common series of steps that engineers use in creating functional products and processes. It is a decision making process (often iterative) in which the basic sciences, mathematics, and engineering sciences are applied to convert resources optimally to meet a stated objective. Among the fundamental elements of the design process are the establishment of objectives and criteria, synthesis, analysis, construction, testing and evaluation.

How is engineering design used?

It’s important to understand that there are various framings/articulations of the engineering design process. Different terminology employed may have varying degrees of overlap, which affects what steps get stated explicitly or deemed “high level” versus subordinate in any given model.

One example framing of the engineering design process delineates the following stages: research, conceptualization, feasibility assessment, establishing design requirements, preliminary design, detailed design, production planning and tool design, and production.

3D Printing

3D printing, or additive manufacturing, is the construction of a three-dimensional object from a CAD model or a digital 3D model

What is 3D printing?

The term “3D printing” can refer to a variety of processes in which material is deposited, joined or solidified under computer control to create a three-dimensional object, with material being added together (such as liquid molecules or powder grains being fused together), typically layer by layer. The precision, repeatability, and material range of 3D printing has increased to the point that some 3D printing processes are considered viable as an industrial-production technology, whereby the term additive manufacturing can be used synonymously with 3D printing. One of the key advantages of 3D printing is the ability to produce very complex shapes or geometries that would be otherwise impossible to construct by hand, including hollow parts or parts with internal truss structures to reduce weight.

How is 3D printing used?

In the current scenario, 3D printing or additive manufacturing has been used in manufacturing, medical, industry and sociocultural sectors which facilitate 3D printing or Additive Manufacturing to become successful commercial technology.

CAM – CPU Programming

CAM - CPU Programming

Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) is the use of software to control machine tools and related ones in the manufacturing of work pieces.

What is CAM?

Its primary purpose is to create a faster production process and components and tooling with more precise dimensions and material consistency, which in some cases, uses only the required amount of raw material (thus minimizing waste), while simultaneously reducing energy consumption. CAM is a subsequent computer-aided process after computer-aided design (CAD) and sometimes computer-aided engineering (CAE), as the model generated in CAD and verified in CAE can be input into CAM software, which then controls the machine tool.

How is CAM used?

Traditionally, CAM has been considered a numerical control (NC) programming tool, wherein two-dimensional (2-D) or three-dimensional (3-D) models of components are generated in CAD. As with other “Computer-Aided” technologies, CAM does not eliminate the need for skilled professionals such as manufacturing engineers, NC programmers, or machinists. CAM leverages both the value of the most skilled manufacturing professionals through advanced productivity tools, while building the skills of new professionals through visualization, simulation and optimization tools.

Reverse Engineering

CAD | CAM Experts

Reverse Engineering

Reverse engineering, also called backwards engineering or back engineering, is the process by which an artificial object is deconstructed to reveal its designs, architecture, code or to extract knowledge from the object.

What is reverse engineering?

Numerous old parts used in machines have stood the test of time. When the part malfunctions or breaks down completely, you replace the component, not the whole device. A process known as reverse engineering makes replacing these parts possible. In any given factory or office building, you’re likely to see manufacturing or computing systems comprised of sophisticated equipment. Typically, the parts in question will range in age from new to more than 20 years old. For these systems to remain intact, various components must be reverse engineered and recreated.

How is reverse engineering used?

As computer-aided design (CAD) has become more popular, reverse engineering has become a viable method to create a 3D virtual model of an existing physical part for use in 3D CAD, CAM, CAE, or other software. The reverse-engineering process involves measuring an object and then reconstructing it as a 3D model.

Reverse engineering is also used by businesses to bring existing physical geometry into digital product development environments, to make a digital 3D record of their own products, or to assess competitors’ products. It is used to analyze how a product works, what it does, what components it has; estimate costs; identify potential patent infringement; etc.

CAD – Engineering Design

CAD - Engineering Design

Computer-aided design (CAD) is the use of computers (or workstations) to aid in the creation, modification, analysis, or optimization of a design. CAD software is used to increase the productivity of the designer, improve the quality of design, improve communications through documentation, and to create a database for manufacturing.

What is CAD?

CAD output is often in the form of electronic files for print, machining, or other manufacturing operations. Its use in designing electronic systems is known as electronic design automation (EDA). In mechanical design it is known as mechanical design automation (MDA) or computer-aided drafting (CAD), which includes the process of creating a technical drawing with the use of computer software.

How is CAD used?

CAD software for mechanical design uses either vector-based graphics to depict the objects of traditional drafting, or may also produce raster graphics showing the overall appearance of designed objects. However, it involves more than just shapes. As in the manual drafting of technical and engineering drawings, the output of CAD must convey information, such as materials, processes, dimensions, and tolerances, according to application-specific conventions.

CAD may be used to design curves and figures in two-dimensional (2D) space; or curves, surfaces, and solids in three-dimensional (3D) space.

CAD is an important industrial art extensively used in many applications, including automotive, shipbuilding, and aerospace industries, industrial and architectural design, prosthetics, and many more. CAD is also widely used to produce computer animation for special effects in movies, advertising and technical manuals, often called DCC digital content creation. Because of its enormous economic importance, CAD has been a major driving force for research in computational geometry, computer graphics (both hardware and software), and discrete differential geometry.
